If you’ve arrived at this page, we are guessing you love Jesus, you love people, and you want people to meet Jesus. But it can be a struggle to share Jesus and leave you feeling frustrated, overwhelmed, or even guilty.
Yet, God has chosen you to help others meet Jesus.
At The League we have a method that is rooted in His biblical truth.
Let’s unpack that method, keeping in mind that this is all God’s doing.
This simple, repeatable, 3-step process we call Read-Carry-Share, all has to do with God’s Word and His promises.
So, these deep truths boil down to the shorthand phrase: Read-Carry-Share.
Read
We Know God’s Word Has Power!
Two Scriptures come to mind.
Isaiah 55:10-11 clearly states that God’s Word will accomplish its purpose. Isaiah’s words are so forceful. The words come across that Scripture are powerful almost independent of our actions.
Further, the parable of the sower (Matthew 13:1-23, Mark 4:1-20, and Luke 8:1-15) reinforces this idea. When we read this parable, most of us ask, “Which kind of soil is my heart?” That is a great question. Please note that regardless of the soil, the seed grows. The seed, the very Word of God, grows. Plus, its return is 30x, 60x and 100x!
When we share the seed, we do not know the quality of the soil or their “heart”.
Here’s an important point – League members don’t only hand out a Book of the Bible and say, “Here you should read this because it has power.” No. We also seek to read God’s Word ourselves, all the time.
We love God’s Word.
Carry
The Faithfulness of God to those who pray, and say, “I’ll go!”.
A Member of The Pocket Testament League, in the morning when they put some Gospels of John in their pocket or purse, prays, “Lord, lead me to the person you would have me give this to today.”
A pretty simple prayer. In this prayer are two things. First, it is us as humans indicating it is all up to God. Second, it is us as humans saying to God, “Here I am, send me.”
All of that is wrapped up in the word, “Carry”.
That brings me to the third step.
Share
God promises that those who seek him, will be found by him. (see Jeremiah 29:13 or Proverbs 8:17).
Listen to God and share a Gospel of John with the person He leads you to without arguing.
When you share a Gospel of John with someone, you are probably thinking it is random. It is not. Time and again we see that a League Member offered a Gospel at just the right moment. We call them divine appointments.
It makes sense. In Step Two, we pray, “Lord show me the person…” We should not be surprised when God answers that prayer.
So, that’s how it works. It is a simple, repeatable process that anyone can do.
